Website Design for Philadelphia Interior Designer

When Decades of Excellence Need the Right Showcase

When I asked Marcello how he found Marketing Queen, his answer was that they were “referred by someone we trusted.”

That’s how it often works with established businesses who know they need to improve their website. They’re not taking chances on their online presence. They need someone who comes highly recommended—someone who understands what they need and how to bring their ideas to life.

Marcello and his partner Walter came to me not feeling very tech-savvy, and they knew their audience wasn’t either. They wanted to make sure their site wasn’t overcomplicated or difficult to navigate, which meant they needed someone who could guide them (and their audience) through the entire process without making them feel overwhelmed or lost.

"Crystal is very patient with those of us who are not tech savvy.”

The Challenge:

It’s All About the Presentation

WPL Interior Design was first referred to me by a local creative agency who redesigned their logo. This Philadelphia-based interior design team needed a web presence that would showcase their 75 years of combined experience creating stunning luxury interiors—from complete home remodels to ground-up new construction projects across the country.

They’d won awards, built incredible spaces and earned a reputation for sophisticated design work But their website? It didn’t match the caliber of what they were creating for their clients.

“We needed to show our portfolio of work through our photography,” Marcello explains. When your entire business is visual—when your work speaks through the spaces you create—your website needs to do those projects justice.

Education First, Always

From day one, I approached the WPL Interior Design project as a partnership. “Crystal educated us in the areas where we did not have any knowledge about building a website,” Marcello notes. We talked through what they needed, why certain decisions mattered, and how to present their decades of work in a way that would resonate with the luxury clients they serve.

That structure mattered—especially for clients who were navigating unfamiliar territory. I broke things down step by step, made space for questions, and ensured they understood not just what we were building, but why.

"Crystal is very organized. The process was thorough and made sense."

And it was incredibly important that this project stay organized: They had a lot of photos, a lot of stories to tell, and a lot of beautiful work to showcase. We needed to make navigating all of that feel effortless for potential clients browsing their portfolio.

“The ease of navigating the site was achieved even though we at first did not know how to get there and had a lot of photos and stories to tell,” Marcello explains. That’s the thing about good website design—when it works, it feels obvious. But getting there takes strategy, organization, and someone who can see the path forward even when you can’t.

The Transformation:

A Portfolio That Gets Noticed

When we launched WPL’s new website, something unexpected happened. “We have received hundreds of compliments on our website and dare I say been copied by some,” Marcello shares. Hundreds. That’s not just polite feedback—that’s potential clients, fellow designers, and industry peers taking notice.

The site does exactly what it needs to do: it shares their incredible portfolio in a way that lets the work shine. The WPL Interior Design legacy is captured and showcased in albums dedicated to the various decades of interior design projects—in addition to their more modern work.

“Our work is visual and a photo is worth 100 words so we had to show the photos of our work to be front and center,” Marcello notes. The photography takes center stage, the navigation makes sense, and potential clients can easily see the breadth and quality of what WPL creates.

Delivering Ongoing Trust

Beyond the initial launch, I’ve continued working with WPL through ongoing maintenance. “The cost was reasonable, ” Marcello says. And for clients who are nervous about managing the technical aspects of a website and the general upkeep necessary to make the site secure, accessible, and current, an ongoing maintenance plan is an excellent idea.

What does he tell people who are nervous about working with a web designer? “Trust Crystal. She will hold your hand (figuratively) and guide you through the process.”

That captures exactly what I aim for—being the kind of partner who makes the complex feel manageable, who educates rather than overwhelms, and who delivers results that make clients proud to share their website with the world.

Today, WPL Interior Design has a website that matches the sophistication of the elevated spaces they create— a digital presence they deserved all along.

"Trust Crystal. She will hold your hand and guide you through the process."
